Appellate Court Lifts $500K Cap on Non-Economic Damages in Civil Suits

Civil-suit plaintiffs in Oregon can thank an injured worker for this week’s appellate court decision to lift the state’s $500,000 cap on non-economic damages in civil suits. The Court of Appeals of the State of Oregon on Thursday declared the cap unconstitutional.
