The Oregon Division of Occupational Safety and Health fined a Forest Grove contractor $39,000 for repeatedly violating a requirement to provide systems to protect workers from fall hazards.
The division said J&K Roofing Co. allowed at least one employee at a job site in Aloha to work more than 12 feet off the ground without a fall protection system in place. The employer remedied the violation during the inspection.
However, the division said it was the fourth time since July 2021 that the company violated the fall protection requirement, and it was fined $39,000 for the repeat offense.&...
