The Oregon Workers’ Compensation Division proposed changes to various medical rules that would increase reimbursement rates and adopt new codes.
Proposed rules would include new billing codes for 2023 and increase the overall maximum payment for evaluation and management office codes by 18%. The WCD also said it is proposing to increase maximum payments for major surgery by 14% and for chiropractic manipulation by 10%. Another change would increase payments for durable medical equipment, prosthetics, orthotics and supplies by 8.7%.
