Pinnacol Issues $50M in Policyholder Dividends

Pinnacol Assurance is distributing $50 million in workers’ compensation dividend checks to policyholders this month. More than 53,000 employers throughout the state — about 94% of the company’s policyholders — will receive a dividend in recognition of maintaining safe workplaces. Dividend checks are calculated based on the policyholder’s premium size and loss ratio, factors that contribute to Pinnacol's underwriting performance and, ultimately its surplus.
