Rate of Positive Drug Tests Varies by Industry, Quest Reports

Retail workers who had urine drug screens last year tested positive 5.4% of the time, the highest rate among 17 industry sectors examined in a new report from Quest Diagnostics. The positive test rate for retail workers was higher than the 5.1% for the general U.S. workforce overall, Quest said. And the positive rate for retail workers, which was 4.7% in 2015, increased each year through 2018.
