Whether spinal cord stimulators should be a compensable treatment for injured workers is a topic that the Oregon Workers’ Compensation Division’s Medical Advisory Committee will consider when it meets on Feb. 16.
The meeting is scheduled from 9-11:30 a.m. at the Clackamas Community College Training Center, 29353 Town Center Loop East in Wilsonville.
The committee was asked to evaluate whether treatment with spinal cord stimulation constitutes unscientific, unproven, outmoded or experimental treatment and thus should be excluded from compensability.
