Roofer Ordered to Pay $119K Restitution

The owner of a San Diego-area roofing company was ordered to pay $119,000 in restitution to the California State Compensation Insurance Fund as part of the sentencing in a workers' compensation insurance fraud case, State Fund announced Tuesday. Arturo Cuevas, 43, owner of Cuevas Roofing & Painting/Western Pacific Design & Development, was also sentenced to three years probation after pleading guilty to insurance premium fraud, State Fund said in a press release.
