N.Y. Work Comp Board Shifts to eCase System

The New York State Workers' Compensation Board (SWCB) announced that effective today it will begin shutting off businesses' access to the Claims Information System at its district-office hearing sites. Instead, lawyers and other system users will be asked to use eCase, the board's Web-based electronic case folder. The agency said the change, which begins with conversion of board computers at its Albany Office sites, is aimed an enhancing the security of confidential claimant information.
