Prior Felon Arrested for Fraud - Faces 3 Strikes

Investigators with the California Department of Insurance (CDI) Criminal Investigations Branch's Fraud Division assisted deputies from the Mariposa County Sheriff's Department yesterday in the arrest of a convicted sex offender on five counts of workers' compensation insurance fraud. Mario Moreno, 45, was arrested in Mariposa and booked into the Mariposa County Jail on a $250,000 bail felony warrant.
