Injury Rates Remain at All-Time Low in 2006

The Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry says a recent survey shows the state's workplace injury and illness rate was unchanged from 2005 to 2006 and remains at an all-time low. The annual Survey of Occupational Injuries and Illnesses shows an estimated total of 107,100 nonfatal workplace injuries and illnesses were reported in Minnesota's private industry and public sector workplaces during 2006, a rate of 5.1 cases per 100 full-time-equivalent (FTE) workers.
