Goldberg Segalla Appoints Associates in Hartford and Albany

The Goldberg Segalla law firm announced Monday the appointment to two associates to its Workers’ Compensation Practice Group in Hartford, Connecticut, and Albany, New. York.

The national law firm appointed Kristen L. Stumpo to its office in Hartford. She previously worked for Solimene & Secondo in Meriden, Connecticut.

Stumpo focuses her practice on counseling and defending employers, insurance companies and self-insured clients in workers’ compensation litigation, Goldberg Segalla said. Her experience also includes representing clients in claims relating to workers’ compensation, personal injury, premises liability, general liability and dram shop liability.

Stumpo received her bachelor’s in liberal arts and legal studies from Quinnipiac University before going on to earn her Juris Doctor from the university’s School of Law. She is admitted to practice in Connecticut, the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut, and the Mohegan Sun Gaming Disputes Court.

Goldberg Segalla hired Benjamin Bagenski for its Albany office. Bagenski was previously with Martin, Harding & Mazzotti in Latham, New York.

Bagenski focuses his practice on workers’ compensation. He received his bachelor’s in criminal justice and sociology, graduating from State University of New York, Albany, before going on to earn his Juris Doctor from Pennsylvania State University’s Dickinson School of Law.

While pursuing his law degree, Bagenski interned at the Madison County Sheriff’s Office and the Cayuga County District Attorney’s Office. He also worked at a legal clinic for arts, sports and entertainment law, where he assisted creative and entrepreneurial clients with starting and navigating their businesses.
