Bloomberg: Tesla Underreported Workplace Injuries to Cal/OSHA

Tuesday, March 10, 2020 | 0

Electric-car maker Tesla failed to include hundreds of workplace injuries in annual summaries it sent to government regulators last year, according to a report from Bloomberg.

The business news outlet, citing newly obtained documents, says the findings undercut Tesla’s long-standing insistence that the company had been providing accurate records.

The California Division of Occupational Safety and Health also cited the car manufacturer in December for not recording other injuries over the past five years, according to Bloomberg.

In February, the company announced that a Cal/OSHA review revealed Tesla was 99% accurate in its record keeping, but agency officials have not verified that claim, according to Bloomberg.
