DWC Adopts Amendments to MQRP Rules

The Texas Division of Workers’ Compensation adopted amendments to its Medical Quality Review Panel rules. The division said changes to Rules 180.64, 180.66, 180.68, 180.72 and 180.76 were needed to conform with related rules and practices. Among other things, the rules clarify the amount of notice to which a respondent is entitled before an informal settlement conference and allow the DWC to conduct informal conferences remotely or in person.
