Contractor Faces $131K in Fines for Alleged Trench Hazards

A Georgia contractor that allegedly didn’t provide protection for employees working in a trench is facing $130,552 in proposed federal penalties. Dustcom Limited Inc. of Garden City was issued citations for two willful, one serious and one other-than-serious safety violation by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration on Dec. 6.
