Illinois state lawmakers on Wednesday came no closer to a deal on compromise budget plan that includes business-friendly changes to the workers’ comp system, but one lawmaker has introduced legislation that would keep the government up and running with money borrowed from the Workers’ Compensation Commission and other sources.
