Lawmaker Proposes Attorney Fee Task Force

New Mexico state Rep. Pamelya Herndon is proposing that the Workers’ Compensation Administration convene a task force to study the impact of attorney fees and attorney fee caps on the state’s comp system. Herndon, D-Bernalillo, on Monday introduced House Memorial 83, which would ask the WCA to convene the attorney fee task force by May 1 and direct it to finalize findings and recommendations by April 30, 2024.
