The California Restaurant Mutual Benefit Corp., a self-insured group covering 4,000 locations, announced programs to verify the eligibility of employees to work in the U.S. and provide information to injured workers as part of an effort to reduce litigation and control costs.Applicants’ attorneys have discovered new ways to attack the workers’ compensation system, such as filing cumulative injury claims after an employee has been fired, the group said.
