The Division of Workers’ Compensation has posted notice that it has adopted several amended rules that become effective Jan. 24.
The amendments are to Iowa Code Chapter 85 and conform to legislative changes enacted as part of House File 518, whose key provision makes the shoulder a scheduled member instead of a whole-body injury, capping compensation at 400 weeks multiplied by the percentage of functional impairment.
