Supreme Court Stands by COCA Ruling on Time Limits to Seek Additional Compensation

The Oklahoma Supreme Court will not disturb a decision allowing workers to file a claim for additional compensation for a period of up to one year after the employer’s last payment of medical benefits. Section 69(B)(1) of the Administrative Workers’ Compensation Act provides that a claim for additional compensation cannot be filed more than one year from the date of the last payment of disability compensation, or two years from the date of injury, whichever is greater.
