Bureau Proposes Pay Hike for Medical Impairment Registry Docs

Rules proposed by the Tennessee Bureau of Workers' Compensation would increase fees for reports by Medical Impairment Rating Registry physicians. Under current rules, the fee for MIR physician reports ranges from zero if the report takes more than 60 days to $1,000 for reports completed within 30 days. The proposed rule amendments would keep that sliding scale, except reports completed within 30 days would be $1,500.
