Five Texas firms have been cited by the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration for various asbestos-related violations and other workplace hazards in the renovation of a building in San Antonio.
Combined, the five companies face a total of $185,000 in penalties for the violations that OSHA inspectors found at One Eleven Park Avenue, a multi-family rental property. All of the companies had failed to inform their workers that they could be exposed to asbestos, according to OSHA.
