Doctors treating female Hawaii firefighters diagnosed with certain types of cancers are entitled to additional pay under a newly signed revision to the state’s workers’ compensation law.
Gov. Josh Green on June 27 signed House Bill 1889, now known as Act 101. The law adds breast, cervical and uterine cancers to the list of conditions for which providers are entitled to be paid between 110% and 150% of Medicare Resource Based Relative Value Scale rates.
