Pro-worker advocates are speaking out loudly in New York State against Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s workers’ compensation reform package, which is folded into the governor’s proposed 2016-17 state budget.
A new group is forming to tackle issues from this legislative session as well as ongoing issues with workers’ comp regulation and administration. Called the Workers Protection and Compensation Coalition, it is being launched with the help of Art Wilcox, formerly chief of workers' compensation issues for the New York AFL-CIO.
