A claimant successfully proved that his compensable work injury caused a depressive disorder that rendered him permanently and totally disabled, according to a published decision from the Mississippi Court of Appeals. In a split decision, the appellate court granted Earnil Brown permanent total disability benefits despite a lengthy dissent from four of the court's judges.
