Department of Commerce Approves 2018 Rate-Making Report

The Minnesota Department of Commerce has approved a 6.7% decrease to the overall average pure premium level, effective Jan. 1, the Minnesota Workers' Compensation Insurers Association told its members in a circular letter issued Wednesday.  The change was occasioned by the Department of Commerce's approval of the 2018 Minnesota Ratemaking Report.  The report, which is free to MWCIA members, contains the pure premium base rate schedule by class, and the calculations used to produce the schedule.
