Comp Division Seeks Comments on Independent Medical Exam Rules

The Colorado Division of Workers’ Compensation is holding a meeting to discuss a preliminary draft of updated rules for the independent medical examination process. Draft rules that the division is considering would require parties to submit raw medical records into a DWC system that would generate a clean packet of records to send to the examiner. A clean packet with medical records that were used, and a separate packet showing files that the division did not include, would be sent to parties for review and approval. “These improvements are expected to reduce process delays...
