Lou Savage Named Administrator for WCD

Former Oregon Insurance Commissioner Lou Savage was named the new administrator for the state’s Workers’ Compensation Division. Savage has served as acting administrator since January, taking over after John Shilts retired in December, the Department of Consumer and Business Services announced on Friday. Savage was insurance commissioner from 2012 to 2013 when he left to provide consulting and training services for legal reform issues in North Africa and the Middle East.
