The New Jersey Attorney General's Office reported a Bergen County man was sentenced to three years probation for fraudulently obtaining more than $5,800 in employer-paid medical benefits.
Officials reported that Thomas J. Lagno, 42, of River Vale also was ordered by Bergen County Superior Court Judge Harry Carroll to pay $5,893 in restitution and a $5,000 civil fine.
Lagno's pleaded guilty April 6 to a criminal accusation that charged him with health care claims fraud, the Attorney General's Office reported.
