A U.S. District judge in Massachusetts sentenced the co-owner of a Lowell temporary employment agency to six years, eight months in prison for hiding more than $25 million in wages to avoid payroll taxes and workers' compensation premiums.
U.S. District Judge Mark L. Wolf also sentenced the woman's daughter to two years in prison and the daughter's husband and her brother-in-law to prison terms of one year and one day each.
