The Utah Industrial Division put employers and medical providers on notice Thursday that any treatment of an injured worker that results in a bill must be reported as a workplace injury.
In Bulletin 1-2018, Division Director Ronald Dressler warned that if the division becomes aware of an employer violating the mandatory reporting statute, “the division will send written notice to the employer of their violation, and if continued violations incur, penalties may be imposed ranging from $1,000 to $5,000.”
