The transitional governing board of the Florida Workers' Compensation Joint Underwriting Association (FWCJUA) adopted reserve estimates of $56.7 million Friday and voted to submit nominations for a permanent board for approval by the Florida Cabinet as early as Aug. 28.
The actions came in a telephone conference call Friday as a quorum of the five members remaining on the board of Florida's residual workers' compensation carrier took another series of steps toward applying for tax-exempt status with the Internal Revenue Service.
