Carrier Petitions to Repeal Domestic Worker Class Code Change

Texas Mutual Insurance Co. has asked Insurance Commissioner Kent Sullivan to repeal an order that will eliminate Classification Code 0923, used for household domestic servants. An order approved by Commissioner David C. Mattax in November 2016 made several changes to the National Council on Compensation Insurance Manual, including the elimination of the 0923 code, which more officially is titled "Domestic Workers-Residences-Payroll Basis."
