An outdoor advertising company is facing $32,435 in proposed penalties for alleged safety violations after a worker suffered third-degree burns when a metal pole being used to install a billboard sign touched an overhead power line.
Outfront Media was issued three citations by the California Division of Occupational Safety and Health, also known as Cal-OSHA.
According to the agency, two sign hangers for Outfront Media were 25 feet above ground on a billboard platform while working on installation of a vinyl sign over West 3rd Street in Los Angeles on Feb. 6.
