A bill that would increase the burial expense benefit for workplace fatalities is on its way to Gov. Henry McMaster’s desk after being approved by both chambers of the General Assembly.
The legislature ratified House Bill 3879 by on Tuesday, the last step of the legislative process. The House approved Senate amendments to the bill 82-16 on May 4. The measure was approved unanimously by both the House and Senate.
