The Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation followed through on a proposal to reduce premium rates for public employers by an average of 10% next year.
The bureau’s board of directors on Friday approved the reduction that was proposed in July. The rate cut is projected to save public sector employers $17.8 million in premiums next year compared to what they paid in 2019.
