The Virginia Workers’ Compensation Commission has moved the date to review and approve its new medical fee schedule to Monday.
Tuesday had been the date of final approval.
Virginia is one of seven states without a medical fee schedule, according to the Workers Compensation Research Institute. It took years for stakeholders to agree on a fee concept that was not based on Medicare.
Melville, New York-based Oliver Wyman Actuarial Consulting is spearheading a geography-based schedule in a 16-month project that will cost $784,400.
