Maine Gov. Paul LePage said he’s considering a state health insurance system to replace the Affordable Care Act, and has suggested modeling it after the state workers’ comp system.
The Republican governor’s remarks came during an interview with WVOM radio on Tuesday.
“We’re just going to withdraw the state and just go do our own thing,” LePage said in discussing U.S. House Speaker Paul Ryan’s withdrawal last week of the American Health Care Act, a proposed replacement for ACA.
