The New York State Workers' Compensation Board has reinstated a Middletown physician after he reimbursed a group health insurance carrier for payments that had already been covered by workers' compensation insurance.
Dr. Manoranjan Singh, a family medicine practitioner at Crystal Run Healthcare, had his authorization to treat injured workers suspended in July because he did not provide proof that he had reimbursed the health insurer, the board said in a bulletin. Both the health insurer and the workers' comp carrier had paid the doctor $207 for treatment he provided to a worker.
