The U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration has cited a contractor for failing to use proper fall protection after one of its employees fell 26 feet and injured himself while cleaning roof gutters at a Massachusetts residence last November.
Ned Stevens Gutter Cleaning and General Contracting, based in Fairfield, N.J., faces fines of $45,500 for failing to ensure that is workers used protective equipment when working on a roof and for failing to guard skylights on the roof.
