A bill amended this week would extend to school district police officers the presumption that certain injuries are compensable, while another bill would allow up to 180 days for providers to submit bills for emergency medical services. Assembly Bill 1028, by Raul Bocanegra, D-San Fernando, would add police and security guards working for school districts to the list of peace officers entitled to the presumption that certain conditions are occupational.
