Judge Denies Pre-stipulated Venue Change, Court Affirms

A Florida judge acted within his jurisdiction when he refused to grant a change of venue despite the fact that the applicant and claimants' attorneys had already stipulated it, an appellate court ruled.In Rodas v. Commercial Forming Corp., No. 1D07-0637, 2/12/08, attorneys had agreed to change the venue from Miami to Fort Lauderdale, but the trial judge denied the motion.
