Nurse Aleshia Dietz says that after she was injured in an auto accident while running an errand for her employer, a claims adjuster told her not to worry about filing a claim because the employer's carrier would "take care of everything."
But after two years had passed, Dietz was shocked when she received a letter from the Mississippi State Agencies Workers’ Compensation Trust saying it would no longer pay for medical care because the statute of limitations for filing a workers' compensation claim had passed and she had forfeited her right to file a claim.
