The Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office accused the owner of a vocational school of diverting more than $650,000 that was supposed to be used to train California workers who suffered permanent disabilities.
“Officials estimate that out of about 100 cases, two students of Rashad Said’s Advanced Vocational Institute had taken some classes — and they were online with no live interaction,” prosecutors said in a statement Thursday.
