A California appellate court upheld the summary dismissal of a worker’s lawsuit for injuries from inspecting a property’s HVAC equipment. DMP 250 Newport Center LLC owns a mixed-use building in Orange County. In June 2018, DMP hired Air Control Systems Inc. to maintain and service the heating, ventilation and air conditioning equipment for the building.
