Maryland’s high court ruled that the state Workers’ Compensation Commission had the authority to reopen an injured employee’s award of permanent partial disability benefits and retroactively adjust his compensation. Case: Gang v. Montgomery County, No. 67, 06/24/2019, published. Facts and procedural history: Peter Gang was a correctional officer for Montgomery County and was injured at work in September 2011.
