Kentucky is the latest state to receive a grant from the U.S. Department of Labor, part of a new focus on returning injured workers to the job quickly, when opportunity for improvement is the greatest.
The Kentucky Education and Workforce Development office reported that it has been awarded $2.5 million as part of the federal Retaining Employment and Talent After Injury/Illness Network, or RETAIN, program. The state is one of eight that have received $19 million in funding this year for the pilot program.
