Thirteen Indicted for $1.5 Million Fraud Scheme

Thirteen individuals associated with four Southern California businesses were indicted on workers' compensation insurance fraud, unemployment fraud and tax evasion charges for their roles in an alleged $1.5 million scheme, San Diego County District Attorney Bonnie M. Dumanis announced.The owners of A1 Patio and Remodeling Experts in Encinitas, Quality Way Building Maintenance in National City and Rufino's Landscaping in Escondido were indicted in December, along with employees of Christina Engineering in Escondido for the alleged scheme, Dumanis' office announced Tuesday.Russ E.
