A New York appellate court ruled that a police officer was not entitled to accidental disability retirement benefits for his injuries from foreseeable risks of his job. Case: Matter of Schoales v. DiNapoli, No. 519852, 10/29/2015, published. Facts: Edward Schoales worked as a police sergeant in Rockland County for 15 years.
