N.Y. Auto Shop Owner Faces Fraud Charges

For the second time in two weeks, a business owner was charged in an alleged scheme to defraud the New York State Insurance Fund when an employee filed a claim for workers' compensation, NYSIF said in a press release. Authorities said David Haskins, 56, who owns Haskins Auto Repair in Cuba, N.Y., faces charges of workers' compensation fraud and offering a false instrument for filing following his arrest on May 18.
