Georgia Comp System Remains Stable

The rate at which Georgia's workers are filing injury and illness claims and the costs associated with those claims remain relatively stable, the National Council on Compensation Insurance (NCCI) reported last week.At its annual Georgia advisory forum held Friday, the Boca Raton, Fla.-based rate maker said medical claim severity – the medical costs for an average claim – continues to slowly increase while indemnity severity remains flat.The size of the state's residual market, meanwhile, continues to shrink, NCCI said in a report released at the annual forum.The Georgia Ins...
